Bottega. It’s a gold mine of two types. The first for the customers: great service, tasty food, classic thin-crust pies. Gold mine for the owners: it ain’t cheap.

The pies are pretty much cooked to perfection, light on the cheese (a good thing compared to 2-for-1 slop, which has it’s own advantages) and tasty, fired-oven dough.

Despite the hit on your wallet, if you’re near St-Zotique and St-Laurent 0n a Sunday (when much of Montréal’s restaurant business is closed) this place is worth a try. Expect to spend about $25 a head without drinks or desert.
