While it is a bit of a nanny (or ninny even) when it comes to delivering the serious power on tap (even with ESD off), it is fast, smooth and more less felt like the weighty rocket it is. The 8 speed (seriously 8) transmission wasn't as smooth as I'd have liked and the initial onset of power was a little slow. The Merc-like cookie cutter front and Bimmer-inspired rear aren't anything special, but the whole package amounts to a serious piece of touring kit. Read more [...]
The shop is small and while it's rare that we stick around for consumption, it's still warm and friendly and even at the busiest of times, the bustle is a bit more inviting than others. Their coffee itself trends toward the acidic side, or "bright" as I like to put it Read more [...]
A weekend in Toronto, point-form-style:
Grand Electric: like a higher-end Grumman '78 with slightly more complex tastes, slightly more attitude (with equal doses of friendliness and apathy) but strangely similar prices. Overall it's a wonderful story about life as weirdo; and I mean that in the way that each of us is, or at some point has felt like, an outsider in one's own skin. Read more [...]
They have a lot of nice-looking foodstuff in there; from baked goods to breakfasts and sandwiches and lots in-between. The staff is friendly (this I mentioned they got right the first time). This friendliness is even more extraordinary when you consider how they took a few kidney punches from me and continued in stride to offer the same, personal service. Read more [...]
I don’t know what to say other than “see it.” It’s worth the time. Challenging, moving, and wonderfully intense.
I haven’t seen a film like this in a little while. It was well real.
Despite the hit on your wallet, if you're near St-Zotique and St-Laurent 0n a Sunday (when much of Montréal's restaurant business is closed) this place is worth a try. Expect to spend about $25 a head without drinks or desert. Read more [...]
Everyone and their mothers are going on about the prices of the new MacBook Pro with the 2880px-wide screen and how expensive it is. Read more [...]
